Hospitality Training Institute
The project aims at developing a professional learning centre for the tourism and catering industry in Uganda through:
- the completion of a school building that will provide students with skills in the field of hotel, tourism and hospitality management;
- the construction of a restaurant open to the public that will aid the economic sustainability of the school and allow the students to practice what they learn in class.
The school will provide courses for the formation of professional figures like waiter, cook, travel operator, hotel manager and others.
The project has a high potential in terms of innovation. Not only for its positioning inside the educational framework of the BCK schools, but also because it involves the most important actor in the region in the field of hospitality (Kenya Utalii College with branches in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu).
