Purchase and renovation of BCK Primary

(ex Parriet School)

Parriet School in Luzira was a primary school that was auctioned in December 2009 because of financial complications. Emmaus Foundation Ltd. bought on March 6th 2010, with the support of Fondazione Italia Uganda, to give it a new life and avoid its students from leaving school.

Firstly, thanks to the help of some Italian supporters, renovation works have been accomplished: installation of the suspended ceiling in the classrooms, reparation of window glasses, repainting of walls. Secondly, when the school saw its attendance doubled in one year, a dormitory for 300 kids, new kitchens and new bathrooms have been built.
