The founder
Father Giovanni “John” Scalabrini was an Italian missionary who dedicated his entire life to supporting the people of Uganda.
He arrived in Uganda in 1964, where he remained until his death in 2016.
At first, he worked in the North, then in the capital Kampala where he built schools, colleges, an orphanage and a hospital around his mission. He has funded the studies for thousands of children and young orphans, or members of destitute families and taught trades to hundreds of young people and adults.
