The Trust

The Foundation is part of a Trust, an entity set up under Ugandan law, promoted by Father Giovanni “John” Scalabrini, which includes two other partners: Emmaus Foundation Ltd., a social enterprise, and Benedict Medical Centre Ltd., a not-for-profit clinic. The beneficiaries of the Trust are the Archdiocese of Kampala and Gulu.

According to the Catholic Church doctrine, the aim of the trust is to work so that Father John’s activites can go on to guarantee education, health and job to the most needy people in Uganda. In this way, in 2009 a new corporate body was founded with the aim of maintaining his mission and his values over time.
